After being sworn in as a U.S. citizen at the Bryan Simpson U.S. Courthouse Thursday, Freddy Aponte shakes hands with Sally Simpson, the widow of the late Federal District Judge Bryan Simpson. She and Mrs. Edwin Graves, middle, are members of The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America. The organization welcomes new citizens at each naturalization ceremony. It was attended by 49 applicants for U.S. citizenship and their friends and family.
