Graduation can be both joyous, as students achieve the goal of earning a degree, and stressful, as they enter the job market, but a local law school has developed a program to help its students cross the “Finish Line.”

Florida Coastal School of Law’s Career Services Department held its third annual “Finish Line” reception at the school April 16. The event was developed to provide students with an opportunity to network with members of the legal community as they start their careers in law. About 100 students and guests mingled while sampling food and beers from around the world.

The law school will graduate about 400 students this spring with a class that includes students from almost every state in the U.S. The ceremony will be held at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena May 15 for the first time in the school’s history. The school was established in 1996.
