Gubernatorial candidate Rick Scott (left) made a stop in Jacksonville on Monday for an ice cream social at the Landing. He served participants such as Scott Kimball (right), following introductions and campaign talk with a crowd of more than 100 during the scheduled campaign stop. Scott outlined several of his positions while calling jobs Florida’s No. 1 issue. Scott and Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum are the front-runners to be the Republican gubernatorial nominee, with the two squaring off in the Aug. 24 primary. The winner will face likely Democratic nominee and current Florida CFO Alex Sink.
