For the third day in a row, a political candidate from a statewide race made a swing through Jacksonville. This time, it was Republican U.S. Senate candidate Marco Rubio, who spoke to more than 100 members of the Southside Business Men’s Club about the economy, national debt and national security during the organization’s weekly luncheon Wednesday. Rubio is the heavy favorite in Tuesday’s primary for the party and would then take on fellow front-runners Gov. Charlie Crist, an independent, and the winner of the Kendrick Meek-Jeff Greene race. Both are Democrats. The general election is Nov. 2.
