About 55 people attended the Hispanic Bar Association of Northeast Florida holiday fiesta Tuesday evening at Cuba Libre.
The association consists of almost 40 members, including judges, lawyers, law students and affiliated members who have a connection to the Hispanic and Latin community.
Attending were members, spouses and other guests.
The event also raised donations for the Catholic Charities Refugee Resettlement Program. More than $200 as well as toys, jackets, school supplies and other items were donated at the door.
The association was founded in September 2004 to foster fellowship among Hispanic judges, lawyers and law students and people interested in or doing business with Latin American or Hispanic businesses in the region.
The association provides networking, referrals, professional development, education about legal issues, community outreach, leadership encouragement, scholarship opportunities and other resources and programs.
