Hundreds of current and former co-workers and colleagues and plenty of friends helped U.S. Magistrate Judge Howard Snyder enter retirement in style. Although Howard’s official last day was Friday, a big reception was held in his honor Wednesday in the jury room of the Federal Courthouse.
Snyder spent nearly 30 years on the federal bench. He was also an investigator for the FBI, a chief assistant U.S. attorney and had a private practice.
Howard and his wife Nancy, a former superintendent of the Duval County School System, plan to spend much of the rest of the year traveling.
