To supervise 150-500 people
PNC Financial Services Group, based in Pittsburgh, says it is premature to comment about plans it might have for Jacksonville, but its website advertises for a mortgage services operations director for PNC in a Southside office building.
The job description at www.pnc.com says the operations director “leads default operations for PNC Mortgage” and would operate in the Collier Building, which is at Gate Parkway and Florida 9A.
City and economic development leaders have been hinting at large pending projects that would create hundreds of jobs.
Sources have been saying for a few weeks that PNC is looking for 60,000 to 70,000 square feet of space in the Baymeadows, Butler and Southside area.
“They are still moving forward,” said Lindsey Ballas, business development chief of the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission, without commenting about specific numbers or details.
The job description for the operations director was updated July 15 and says the position is a “senior level leadership position within Mortgage Services.”
The description also says the position has direct responsibility for “multiple medium to very highly complex processes” with budgets totaling $10 million to $20 million a year and with a “geographically” dispersed team of 150 to 500 full-time equivalent employees.
PNC spokesman Fred Solomon made a brief comment. “It would be premature for PNC to discuss any plans it might have for Florida,” he said.
Ballas said the company has not asked for economic assistance from the city. “We have not had a request for incentives,” she said.
PNC also posted for a business analyst in the Collier Building that would be “an active participant on the Default Information Servicing Reporting team.”
PNC Mortgage, a division of PNC Bank, already operates a Jacksonville office at 13500 Sutton Park Drive South, Suite 701, near Hodges Boulevard. The Collier Building is at 5011 Gate Parkway.
