Baptist Medical Center lists the construction team for its proposed 11-story replacement tower at its Southbank campus in its application to the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission and its Downtown Development Review Board.

Batson-Cook Construction is listed as the contractor, Stanley Beaman & Sears is the architect, King Engineering Associates is the landscape architect and TLC Engineering and SEG Engineering are engineers for the project, according to the application.

The commission will review the project Thursday.

“At a time when the construction industry is hard hit by this recession, this $200 million project will have a significant impact on the trades and suppliers for construction,” said commission Executive Director Ron Barton.

He anticipates City Council will approve the project Aug. 24.

Baptist Health CEO Hugh Greene said interior demolition has begun in preparation for the project.
