District conference: June 23
The District One Conference of Florida Realtors will be June 23 at the Jacksonville Marriott with two motivational speakers and a candidate forum on the agenda.
The conference will run from 9 a.m. until late afternoon and costs $15, which includes a continental breakfast and a buffet lunch.
The speakers will be Bill Lublin, a Philadelphia broker who will speak on “Connecting with the online consumer,” and Eric Papp, a national speaker whose topic will be “Leadership for any position.”
Candidates for the state association office will be introduced during the lunch.

Laurels: July 9
The second part of the Laurel Awards will be presented July 9 at the UNF University Center. The Laurels are given annually by the Sales and Marketing Council.
The awards program had become so lengthy that it was cut in half this year. The first group of awards was presented earlier this year and the final 32 will be on July 9.
Entries closed earlier this month.
The awards will include Realtor of the Year, Builder of the Year and other individual honors.
Also to be presented are marketing awards and the three major SMC honors: The Dick Baker Award, the Golden Service Award and the Grand Award.
SEBC: July 22-24
The prestigious Aurora Awards again will highlight the annual Southeast Building Conference and Green Building Show in Orlando on July 22-24.
Held in the giant Orange County Conference Center, the show will feature over 550 exhibits and organizers say their expect to top last year’s attendance of 12,500.
The Auroras are design awards in 80 categories. There will be awards given in each of the SEBC’s 12 states plus overall awards, and the presentation will be at a banquet on the closing evening.
The SEBC is open to anyone although members of the sponsoring Florida Home Builders Association receive a discounted registration fee.
Florida Realtors: August 26-29
The annual Florida Realtors Convention and Trade Show will be August 26-29 at Rosen’s Shingle Creek in Orlando. Registration information is available at www.floridarealtors.org.
The convention includes the annual awards luncheon, which this year features motivational speaker Jon Gordon. Also during the long weekend will be RPAC and WCR events, and educational sessions.
