How did you get involved?
I became involved as a volunteer at Wolfson Children’s Hospital because I have been volunteering since I was very young in different capacities helping children. Children have a special place in my heart. I have volunteered in different capacities at the hospital from the “Wolfie Wagon,” “TLC,” and in my current work in the emergency room, helping both children and adults.
How can someone else get involved?
Contact me. I can connect you with the proper channels and answer your questions. There is so much good a volunteer can do in a hospital setting. The doctors, staff, family and children appreciate your help. Log on to www.beachesattorney.com or send me an e-mail at [email protected]. It’s very self-rewarding to volunteer your time to others and everyone comes out a winner.
What have you learned/achieved through the experience?
I have realized that what you do today counts. That by helping someone today, may lead that person to return the favor to someone in need. There is no better feeling than helping people through rough moments in their lives.
What was the last book you read or are reading?
Antonin Scalia and Bryan A. Garner’s “Making Your Case, The Art of Persuading Judges”
