Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Daryl Smith and Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens Director Hope McMath were two of the more than a dozen celebrity chefs who served their favorite dishes Thursday to almost 900 participants at the 24th Annual Celebrity Chefs Tasting and Silent Auction. The event, organized by the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, returned to the Osborn Center and is one of the Salvation Army’s largest annual fundraisers, raising almost $1.3 million to date for the nonprofit’s projects. This year’s goal was $100,000, said Celebrity Chefs Chair Michele Kehnert. Funds are raised through ticket sales and proceeds from the more than 300 silent auction items.
