• Friday was the last day for Zodiac Grill at its Hogan and Adams location. Late this week, it’ll reopen on Adams Street in the former Mudville Grill space. Look for a hookah bar and eventually a liquor license.
• The World Affairs Council Jacksonville hears from Adm. James Stavridis Tuesday evening. He is the Supreme Allied Commander Europe and Commander of the U.S. European Command. • When Jacksonville hosts the first and second round of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament this weekend, the teams will stay all over town. The highest-seeded team, Duke, stays closest to the Arena, which means the Hyatt. The lowest-seeded team (the winner of the Withrop and Arkansas Pine-Bluff game) will stay farthest from the Arena, which means One Ocean, which is oceanfront in Atlantic Beach.
• Speaking of the tournament, as of Friday about 1,700 tickets remained for the general public. The rest have been bought or set aside for the teams playing here.
• Women Business Owners of North Florida sold out its March 24 Women in Business awards luncheon at the Omni, but has a waiting list for those who want to attend the 24th annual event. The luncheon keynote speaker is Donna Orender, president of the Women’s National Basketball Association and a Ponte Vedra resident. • WBO and the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce Professional Women’s Council will present four awards. Two of the fields were narrowed to three finalists each. Entrepreneur finalists are Camille Clement Gregg, Outside the Box Consulting; Teresa K. Myers, Myers-Seth Pump Inc.; and Teresa Meares, DGG Taser and Tactical Supply Inc. Franchisee finalists are Lynne Coggin, BNI Northeast Florida; Lauren Little, Edible Arrangements in Avondale and Bartram Park; and Stacie Rine, Massage Heights at St. Johns Town Center and River City Marketplace.
• WBO also will name a Corporate Leader and a Pioneer. Seven finalists vie in the corporate category and 14 are competing as pioneers.

• The Guardian ad Litem program will celebrate more than 30 years of representing the interests of abused and neglected children during Guardian ad Litem Day March 23. A proclamation declaring Guardian ad Litem Day signed by Gov. Charlie Crist will be unveiled during a ceremony on the steps of the Old Florida Capitol in Tallahassee.
