The Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women 2010 honorees had their place in history cemented Tuesday evening during a ceremony at the University of North Florida’s Thomas G. Carpenter Library. Ch. 12/25 co-anchor Jeannie Blaylock, retired social worker Jacqueline Nash, Florida Times-Union reporter Jessie-Lynne Kerr and Hubbard House CEO Ellen Siler (left to right) were honored for their outstanding contributions to the community and are featured on a commemorative poster that was unveiled during the event. The poster will now be featured as part of the permanent exhibit, which displays the Women’s History Month honorees each year dating back to its creation in 1986.
