The Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce will host its Ninth Annual Business Expo from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 26 at the Osborn Center. The Expo is free and open to the public.

It will feature more than 1,500 business professionals and more than 100 exhibit booths. The chamber also will host educational workshops about federal contracting opportunities, health-care reform, small business and women-owned business.

Also, a Chamber Council Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. will feature keynote speaker Hugh Greene, president and chief executive officer of Baptist Health, who will talk about health-care reform and how the legislation will affect consumers. Luncheon tickets are $25 for members and $35 for nonmembers and must be bought in advance.

Rob Haley and Marsha Proctor Killen, owners of the health-care consulting firm StrategyGen Co., will lead the “Health Care Forum: Just What the Doctor Ordered” workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. before the Business Expo. The workshop will focus on the newly enacted federal health legislation and its requirements, effective dates and tax code benefits. The workshop is $20, or $10 with the purchase of a luncheon ticket.

Additional workshops include the “Federal Contracting Opportunities Forum – Moving to the Next Level” from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for $135 (lunch not included), the “Small Business Center Orientation” from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. for free, and the “Jacksonville Women’s Business Center Launch Pad” from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for free.
