With a week left before the Nov. 2 election, Alex Sink, the Democratic candidate for Florida governor, brought her campaign Downtown to The Carling Tuesday for a meeting with a group of supporters from the business community. Sink fielded questions and comments on a variety of issues, including employment. “We need to put people back to work and when I’m governor, we are going to have a strategic plan to diversify Florida’s economy. We’ll also keep taxes low and streamline regulation,” said Sink. “As a state, we have to reinvent ourselves. The state is full of entrepreneurs who know how to make businesses grow.”
