Journalist Ted Koppel, Forbes Media Chair Steve Forbes and former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will be featured at the 2011-12 Florida Forum series.

The Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital sponsors the forum each year to raise funds and awareness for the hospital. The 2011-2012 Florida Forum marks the 20th year of the series.

The series is presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, LandStar System Inc. and Wells Fargo.

Koppel opens the series on Oct. 4. The longest-serving news anchor in broadcast history, he was the anchor and managing editor of ABC’s “Nightline” for 26 years. Since leaving ABC, Koppel has been a contributing columnist for The New York Times and The Washington Post, produced 20 documentaries as managing editor of the Discovery Channel and currently serves as news analyst for BBC America and NPR.

Forbes follows Feb. 27. Forbes is chair and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media. He writes editorials for the company’s flagship publication, Forbes magazine, which has a circulation of more than 900,000.

The series concludes April 4 with a presentation by Rice, who served as the 66th Secretary of State from 2005-09.

The events are scheduled at the Times-Union Center. Proceeds will benefit the new Larry J. Freeman Behavioral Health Center at Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
