Corey Craig, economic development specialist with the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission, installed the Downtown business and service directories and maps Friday in the new wayfinding kiosks along Laura Street.
The kiosks are on each of the four blocks from the Landing to Hemming Plaza.
The directories show each kiosk’s location and where to find restaurants, galleries and retailers in the neighborhood. The maps have a larger scale and orient users to all of Downtown, including the Southbank.
Also, more trees were installed along Laura Street last week and work is progressing on the block between Adams and Monroe streets. The project is scheduled to be substantially complete before the May 26-29 Jacksonville Jazz Festival when the new and improved Laura Street will be the centerpiece of the annual event that brings thousands of people Downtown.
