• Adam Hollingsworth, chief of staff for former Mayor John Peyton, joined the Flagler development and real estate company Monday to lead its right-of-way division, which has begun to offer services to clients in the railroad industry and state and local transportation departments that have underused real estate holdings. Hollingsworth, who will be based in Jacksonville, will manage the day-to-day operations and develop business opportunities.

• Gov. Rick Scott hasn’t scheduled a workday yet in Jacksonville, but his staff said a CSX representative suggested he schedule a freight rail workday at the port of Jacksonville. The request came in Wednesday, Scott’s first workday at a doughnut shop in Tampa. No decision has been made on the port job.

• Mayor Alvin Brown and the City’s Military Affairs, Veterans and Disabled Services Division, along with military officials, veterans and family members, will honor Purple Heart recipients at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Veterans Memorial Wall at 1145 E. Adams St.

• No Jacksonville Economic Development Commission meeting this month. The meeting was canceled for lack of action items.

• Shark Week on Discovery Channel is a logical time for a “FINS” update. Tom Riska reports that the movie developed by the late Circuit Judge Jefferson “Jeff” Morrow is still on track to be released in October. The musical score was recently finished and plans are under way for a public release at Alhambra Theatre & Dining. A date has not been set. The movie combines Morrow’s passions for fishing, law and theater. Morrow died March 2. More information can be found at the movie’s Facebook page, “Fins the Movie.”

• The Jacksonville Jaguars will have a nationwide audience Aug. 13. The SiriusXM NFL Radio Training Camp Tour will broadcast live from Jaguars’ training camp with hosts Randy Cross and Ross Tucker breaking down the action at Florida Blue Health & Wellness Practice Fields. The tour started Wednesday and will visit all 32 teams.

• The board of Jacksonville-based Regency Centers appointed David O’Connor as its newest member, expanding the board to 12. O’Connor co-founded High Rise Capital Management in 2001, a New York-based real estate securities hedge fund, and he serves as its senior managing partner.

• Transportation and other high-profile folks will take to the runway for a fashion show and scholarship fundraiser. Models include Jacksonville Port Authority CEO Paul Anderson, Jacksonville Aviation Authority Executive Director Steve Grossman, Florida Rep. Lake Ray, Channel 4 Anchor Bruce Hamilton and CBS 47/FOX 30 Anchor Paige Kelton. It’s scheduled from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Aug. 18 at the port’s cruise terminal. It’s the 2nd annual “Going Places” sponsored by the Northeast Florida Chapter of Women in Transportation. Proceeds will provide scholarships for women pursuing a career in transportation and logistics. Sunday is the deadline for tickets, which are $30. • Jacksonville-based AXIA Public Relations opened an office in Orlando.

• Grubb & Ellis Phoenix Realty Group Inc. announced that Lee Stine has joined as a retail specialist in the sales and leasing of raw land, shopping center space and buildings for tenants and landlords in retail commercial real estate transactions. Stine is a Jacksonville native and graduate of the University of North Florida Coggin College of Business.

• Kathryn Morris-Miller, the owner of Glass Specialists Inc., won PostNet’s “Boost This Biz” contest and will receive $10,000 in cash and $5,000 in design, print, copy and shipping services from PostNet to help grow her glass repair and replacement company. The award presentation is scheduled at noon today at the PostNet in Orange Park.

• Jacksonville-based CSX announced it will build and operate a $15 million, 34-acre intermodal terminal in Louisville, Ky. Operations begin early next year. It will be built and operated by CSX Intermodal Terminals and will employ about 12 people. It will provide inbound and outbound daily train service connecting through the company’s Northwest Ohio Intermodal Terminal to markets across CSX Transportation’s 21,000-route mile network.
