Four named to Business Hall of Fame

The Florida Council on Economic Education announced its 2011 First Coast Business Hall of Fame inductees:

• Kelly Madden, North Florida Wholesale Regional President, Wells Fargo Bank.

• Lee M. Thomas, president and CEO, Rayonier.

• Steven Wallace, president, Florida State College at Jacksonville.

• Cleve Warren, president and CEO, Essential Capital Finance Inc.

The 13th Annual First Coast Business Hall of Fame luncheon induction ceremony will be Nov. 8 at the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida Conference Center in Deerwood Park.

Proceeds support the economic and free enterprise education programs and financial literacy initiatives of the council.

Each year, the council recognizes the contributions of business leaders in North Florida. The Event and Selection Committee is chaired by Hall of Fame member Marty Lanahan, Regions Bank North Florida area president.

The mission of the Florida Council on Economic Education is to prepare the state’s youth for personal and financial success through educational programs in economics, the free enterprise system and personal financial literacy. The goal is to prepare them to become members of the workforce, responsible consumers and wise investors.

The council is a 501c3 nonprofit funded by companies and individuals throughout the state.

It is an affiliate of the Council for Economic Education as a part of a national network of state Councils on Economic Education Centers.
