$1 million challenge grant to Edward Waters College

JEA Chairman Ron Townsend, CSX Corp. CEO Michael Ward and Edward Waters College President Nat Glover at a news conference Wednesday at which the Michael and Kim Ward Foundation gave the college a $1 million challenge grant for infrastructure improvements. The grant was issued as a 2-1 match to assist the college in its $3 million capital improvement goal for campus enhancements and maintenance. The challenge will match $1 for every $2 the college raises, up to $1 million, between now and next summer so that repairs can be completed before the 2012 academic year.
