How did you get involved?
Charlie Jimerson recommended that I join the Gator Bowl Association (and nominated me) four years ago and it has been a great experience. I have met so many Jacksonville professionals and really enjoy being a part of this bowl event designed to benefit the city we all know and love. As I have heard so many times, if you love to golf, watch football and enjoy happy hour with good people, then you will want to be a member of the Gator Bowl executive committee.

How can someone else get involved?
Call me. I will happily nominate you.

What have you learned/achieved through the experience?
If you want to learn about how the bowl selection process works, you want to learn how to volunteer time in other areas to promote Jacksonville or you just want to learn more about college football and meet similarly minded people, then the Gator Bowl committee is for you. The Gator Bowl is not only an economic booster for Jacksonville, but it also provides charitable donations to a number of organizations throughout the region. It provides assistance to student athletes through the Gator Bowl Boselli Scholarship. The inaugural Florida Blue 5K Challenge helped raise funds for Duval County sports. The annual Gator Bowl VyStar 5K run held on New Year’s Eve raised nearly $13,000 for Wolfson Children’s Hospital.

What was the last book you read or are reading?
W.E.B. Griffin’s series “The Corps” Currently on book V of IX titled “Line of Fire.”
