The courtyard at the Landing is center stage for one of Downtown’s holiday traditions: live entertainment, noon and night, starring members of the community.

It began Nov. 25 with the lighting of the Christmas tree and won’t end until Dec. 22 when AAMCO Christmas leaves the stage.

For some performers, it’s the first time they have sung or danced Downtown.

For others, it’s part of their holiday tradition.

One such group is the Duncan U. Fletcher High School Dance Ensemble, which performed Friday for the lunch crowd at the Landing. The program began its annual event in 2004 and the dancers have made the trip from the beach one weekday during December every year since, said Cindy Kidder, dance director.
