• The Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta said it has awarded $400,000 in support of Ability Housing of Northeast Florida’s CASA housing program as part of the bank’s 2011 Affordable Housing Program offering. EverBank was the local bank sponsor for the grant. The project provides housing to adults with a disability and consists of 29 single-family homes scattered throughout Jacksonville. Shannon Nazworth, Ability Housing executive director, said the grant will be used for major repairs and improvements on several of the CASA homes.
• The City issued a permit for Fickling Construction Inc. to renovate space on the second floor of the Scott-McRae Group building at 701 Riverside Park Place at a project cost of $186,202. Scott-McRae spokeswoman Amy Rankin said the company is renovating the second floor for its Auto Credit division.
• CoWork Jax has released plans and pricing for its new co-working space in Downtown Jacksonville at 5 W. Forsyth St. The opening is in early January. It will offer daily workspaces and desks, as well as a limited number of office suites for small companies of up to three people. Day passes start at under $20.
