• Seven-time Grammy Award winner Gladys Knight is booked to perform at The Florida Theatre at 8 p.m. Feb. 18. Tickets are $65 and $50. For ticket information, call 355-2787 or visit www.floridatheatre.com.

• Gov. Rick Scott reappointed Toni Crawford and appointed Steven Wallace to the Children and Youth Cabinet. Crawford, of Ponte Vedra Beach, is a community volunteer and current chair of the Early Learning Coalition of Duval Inc. Wallace, of Jacksonville, is the president of Florida State College at Jacksonville. Their terms began Friday and end Aug. 27, 2015.

• The Jacksonville Suns announced that 2011 Field Manager Andrew Barkett will return for his second season with the Suns and that John Duffy will return for his third season as pitching coach in 2012. Former Suns player Kevin Randel will be added as the hitting coach, replacing Corey Hart, and Julio Hernandez will be the athletic trainer. Dustin Luepker moves up to AAA New Orleans after working in Jacksonville for two seasons.

• Correction: Rob Clements is chairman and CEO of EverBank. He was incorrectly referred to as president and CEO in a story in the Monday Daily Record.

• Petticoat-Schmitt Civil Contractors Inc. has been chosen for construction of the downtown Jacksonville Beach streetscape improvements. Construction for the six-phase project began Nov. 30 and will continue through the fall. Ryan Schmitt is president of Petticoat-Schmitt and is a Beaches resident. The project focuses on reshaping the avenues and streets in the Central Business District bounded by Florida A1A, Beach Boulevard, Fourth Avenue North and First Street.
