Farah and Farah held an appreciation lunch recently for the Downtown Ambassadors at Casa Dora Italian Restaurant. The firm, based at 10 W. Adams St. Downtown, said it wanted to thank the ambassadors for their work in keeping the neighborhood safe and clean.

The ambassadors are easily identified in their orange shirts and pith helmets as they walk and bike throughout Downtown. The ambassadors began operation in October 2001.

They work 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Sunday, as well as during some special events.

They operate under a contract with Downtown Vision Inc.
