The Neptune Beach City Council approved Patrick Krechowski Thursday night as its new City attorney.

He will succeed Chris White, who will retire as City attorney effective Feb. 28.

Krechowski’s retainer was set at $33,000 and his hourly fee for litigation is $150.

“We had some really good candidates. It was a tough decision,” said Neptune Beach Mayor Harriet Pruette.

Krechowski is corporate counsel for Fidelity National Financial and was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1998.

He lists his practice areas as environmental and land use, real estate and real estate/land development.

Krechowksi is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center.
