Weeks after the twinkle of holiday lights could be seen and the rip and crumple of wrapping paper could be heard, volunteers visited Family Support Services to provide a treat for foster children.
The annual “Holiday in January” party was held at the offices of Family Support Services of North Florida with the help of about 25 volunteers from The Jacksonville Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section and the Northeast Florida Paralegal Association.
The party for the 20 children included a visit from Santa Claus, games and craft stations, pizza, sugar-filled snacks and presents, including bikes.
The Tygart family and the law firm of Boyd & Jenerette were the primary sponsors of the event.
