A new year means new events for the Jacksonville Asian American Bar Association. The group met Thursday for the first time in 2011 at Indochine restaurant Downtown. Members discussed upcoming events, including a symposium on diversity immediately following The Jacksonville Bar Association luncheon Feb. 22. The organization also is hosting a “Faces of Asia Casino Night” fundraiser Feb. 26 and wants to present a potential speed networking event for students at Florida Coastal School of Law in March. Members at the meeting include: Anand “Ray” Raythatha of McGrath Gibson; Rodnie Maquinez of Fidelity National Financial; Patrick Patangan of Holland & Knight; President Maria Aguila of the Law Office of Maria Aguila; Alessandro Apolito of Brennan, Manna & Diamond; and Jo-Anne Yau of Yau Law.
