Interns, summer associates and law students received an education on the local legal community through The Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyers Section’s “Noon in June” program Thursday.
The program was created to provide potential members of the local legal community visiting for the summer an opportunity to become familiar with Downtown and network with each other and members of The JBA.
YLS President-elect Michael Orr chaired the program, which introduced the group to The JBA and YLS leadership, federal courthouse and City Hall. They received information from U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas Morris, Mayor-elect Alvin Brown, State Attorney Angela Corey and Public Defender Matt Shirk.
The event wrapped up at a happy hour at The Carling, where attendees mingled with members of the YLS at the organization’s annual meeting.
