The Florida Federal Judicial Nominating Commission an-nounced the names of the applicants for seats in the U.S. Middle, Northern and Southern District courts, as well as a U.S. marshal position. The deadline to apply was June 15.
The Middle District encompasses 35 of the state’s 67 counties, including Duval County.

The names of those selected for personal interviews with the commission, as well as the interview times, will be published on or about July 15.
Interviews for the Southern District seat will be July 25 at the U.S. Courthouse in Miami.
U.S. marshal interviews will be July 26 at U.S. Courthouse in Miami.
Interviews for the Northern District seat will be July 29 at the U.S. Courthouse Annex in Tallahassee.
Interviews for the Middle District seat will be Aug. 4 at the George C. Young U.S. Courthouse in Orlando.
