The 43rd annual spring edition of the Jacksonville Home & Patio Show is today-Sunday at the Osborn Center. It has become one of North Florida’s oldest and largest consumer shows of the year.
The floor plan and layout are new this year in order to fit more exhibitors into the convention center, said Hillary Lyons, show manager.
In addition to vendors who have been participating in the show for years, there are some first-timers and even the veterans will be debuting products this weekend.
“Many of the vendors will be familiar, but they are bringing new products,” said Lyons.
Gates Dearen, owner of Home Rite Windows & Doors, has been showcasing his products at the show for 31 years.
“The show has been really successful for us. It’s like having a portable showroom,” he said.
The centerpiece of this year’s spring show is a 3,500-square-foot backyard complete with a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen and landscaping.
Celebrity guests and presenters include William Moss from HGTV’s “Dig In” and Master Florists Paula Hunter and Len Becket.
“Every year, it’s a chance for consumers to meet the vendors and see, touch and feel the products. It’s Jacksonville’s original search engine for home improvement,” said Lyons.
