A listed oceanfront duplex in Atlantic Beach recently received some national recognition. The Atlantic Beach Dune has been featured on national news media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, the National Post and most recently CNBC.com.

The home, listed by Prudential Network Realty, was designed and built in 1975 by architect William Morgan and contains two mirror-image apartments ensconced within a sand dune. The kitchen, living and dining areas are located on the lower  level and designed with built-in furniture. The building was  constructed using swimming pool technology, a gunite-concrete shell  anchored to a cast concrete floor with its roof topped by a mantle of earth stabilized by native landscaping that helps to maintain a 70-degree temperature inside.

It’s current listing is priced at $1.4 million.
