In a close race, City Council member Richard Clark held off challenger Mario Rubio to retain his District 3 seat.

With all precincts reporting, Clark, a former council president, received 52 percent of the vote to Rubio’s 48 percent. The district encompasses parts of the East Arlington and Southside areas.

Clark and Rubio were the only two candidates on the ballot.
