• Solantic Chief Medical Officer Nathan Newman has been elected vice president of the Urgent Care Association of America’s board of directors during the organization’s recent convention in Chicago. The association was founded in 2004 to fill a need in the professional field for an association that encourages and facilities the development and success of urgent care centers.
• The Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association will be recognized by the Florida Association of Women Lawyers for its recruitment efforts. The JWLA will receive the state organization’s membership recruitment award at its 60th Anniversary Gala in Orlando June 23. “JWLA has shown impressive growth through excellent programing and recruitment efforts,” said Lindsey Lawton, awards chair for the state association. The main basis for the award is 10 percent membership growth over the previous year.
