• The BUBBA burger grill chain signed with PepsiCo for the exclusive beverage pouring rights in its restaurants. The chain will offer Pepsi fountain products as well as bottled brands to serve both dine-in and carry out guests.
• Meanwhile, Kayem will be the official brand of franks, sausage and deli meat for the Jacksonville Jaguars and EverBank Field.
• Mayor Alvin Brown is the keynote speaker Nov. 29 at “A Night With The Stars” hosted by Friends of ElderSource. There will be a special recognition of Jacksonville Jaguars co-owner Delores Barr Weaver. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Marriott Southpoint.

• James H. Miller, chairman and chief executive officer of PPL Corp., was elected to the board of Jacksonville-based Rayonier. PPL, based in Allentown, Pa., and its own or control about 19,000 megawatts of generating capacity in the United States, sell energy in key U.S. markets and deliver electricity and natural gas to about 10 million customers in the United States and the United Kingdom.
• The online auction of the Wyndham Hotel Downtown began Tuesday at an opening bid of $3 million on www.auction.com. It ends at noon today and was $3.25 million as of 8 a.m.
• Gov. Rick Scott appointed Christopher Corr of Jacksonville to the Board of Governors of the State University System. Corr has been the executive vice president of AECOM Technology Corp. since 2008 and previously was the chief strategy officer at The St. Joe Co. from 1998-2008. He also served as a Florida House representative from 1990-92. His term on the board of governors began Friday and ends Jan. 6, 2013. The appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
• The governor also appointed Richard Mueller of Jacksonville to the Board of Funeral, Cemetery and Consumer Services. Mueller is the vice president and general manager of Evergreen Cemetery. His term begins today and ends Sept. 30, 2015. The appointment is subject to state Senate confirmation.
