Gov. Rick Scott, taking part in the flag ceremony, arrived before dawn today at Naval Air Station Jacksonville to perform a “Let’s Get to Work” day. Scott’s schedule showed he would work at the base from 5:45 a.m.-3 p.m. His day included work at the gate and in the galley, the control tower, the radar room and working with the military dogs practicing drug sweeps. Scott is a U.S. Navy veteran. Scott began his program to spend a day every month to do a job alongside other Floridians on Aug. 3 in Tampa at a doughnut shop.
