Sales of homes and condos in Northeast Florida were up over a comparable time a year ago and prices stayed close to the same as in July 2010.
Statistics compiled by Florida Realtor, the state real estate association, showed the Jacksonville region with a 2 percent increase in home sales and a 17 percent jump in condo sales based on July 2011 versus July 2010.
The numbers come from local associations.
Statewide, there was a 12 percent increase in both home and condo sales.
In the Jacksonville area, home prices dipped 4 percent to an average of $137,500 while condo prices increased 2 percent to $74,700.
Statewide, home prices were down 1 percent to $136,500 and condos prices were up 4 percent to $90,900.
