Downtown development is on the agenda during this week’s JAX Chamber leadership trip to Houston.
More than 120 business and City leaders, including Mayor Alvin Brown, are among the travelers on the trip, today through Wednesday.
Other elected officials on the trip list are Duval County School Board members Martha Barrett, W.C. Gentry and Fel Lee.
The group also will review Houston’s economic development, its cultural community, logistiics and regional transportation as well as education reform.
There’s also a Houston Astros vs. St. Louis Cardinals game for the baseball fans.
Tonight is the scheduled Mayor’s Dinner feature Brown and Houston Mayor Annise Parker.
The group returns Wednesday evening.
