President, Tim Tebow Foundation

Mission
The Tim Tebow Foundation exists to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.

Serving Jacksonville
The organization has been serving Jacksonville since its inception in January 2010, but became officially based in Jacksonville this past February when I was hired.

Those served
We are currently directly serving the communities of Jacksonville, Gainesville, Denver and 14 international cities in 12 countries. The primary outreach initiatives of the Tim Tebow Foundation are:

• W15H program — Wish fulfillment for children with life-threatening illnesses.

• Timmy’s Playrooms — Creating playrooms that bring faith, hope and love into children’s hospitals around the world.

• Philippine Hospital — Building a Tebow hospital in a deserving part of the Philippines.

• Supporting orphans — Currently financially supporting more than 600 orphans around the world

Biggest challenge
The biggest challenge was, although the foundation began in January 2010, there was no staff until February of this year, so I was charged with building the groundwork of a new business while already having national attention. Secondly, we are blessed by Tim’s nationwide platform and by the many people who want to help us advance our mission, but it is a challenge finding a way for people around the country to be meaningfully involved in the foundation.

Biggest satisfaction
The biggest satisfaction is knowing that each day we are working toward making people’s lives better. I am pleased that we have successfully built a strong foundation with great outreach and fundraising initiatives, but there is no greater fulfillment for me that sharing faith and love with deserving children

First experience with community service
As an Eagle Scout, I was first exposed to community service at a young age through the Boy Scout program. From a full-time job perspective, I was involved in many community initiatives during my 11 years at the Gator Bowl.
