Bill-signing tour brings Scott to Jacksonville

Gov. Rick Scott (left) visited Load King Manufacturing on West Beaver Street Monday and was joined by Mayor Alvin Brown to meet with workers. Scott took part in a ceremonial bill signing related to Workforce Board Accountability, Re-employment and Economic Development. The bill to repeal the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission has yet to reach his desk. “Unemployment has come down to where it’s now at a three-year low,” Scott said, referring to the state’s unemployment rate of 9.4 percent for February.
