Circuit Judge Brian Davis retained his Group 1 seat outright despite facing three challengers. He held off a potential runoff against Melina Buncome by garnering 50 percent of the close to 136,000 votes cast. Davis was nominated for the U.S. District Court by President Barack Obama in March but his nomination has not been confirmed. Davis was appointed to the circuit bench in 1994 by then-Gov. Lawton Chiles.
