One of Downtown’s annual holiday traditions is a village made of gingerbread, icing and candies appearing in the lobby of the Hyatt Downtown about two weeks before Christmas.

This year’s version, created by the culinary team at the hotel and led by pastry chef Carlos Feldman, includes the Main Street Bridge over the St. Johns River and an electric train that moves around and through the display.

This year’s edition of the Hyatt gingerbread village will be on display until Christmas Day, after which it will be dismantled to make room for hundreds of visitors checking in at the hotel for the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl on New Year’s Day.
