• Bruce Maxwell has joined the Terrell Hogan law firm. His practice will focus on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, with an emphasis on products liability, premises liability, medical malpractice and maritime law.

• Individual tickets for the U.S. Men’s National Team soccer match against Scotland at EverBank Field will be sold starting at 10 a.m. Thursday. Kickoff is 8 p.m. May 26. The game will be the first for the USA in Jacksonville in more than 13 years. Tickets start at $22 and will be available through ussoccer.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 and at all Ticketmaster ticket centers throughout the Jacksonville area.

• NAIOP of Northeast Florida gives its annual awards Wednesday evening at the Times-Union Center. The event will honor excellence in the commercial real estate industry and includes the Lifetime Achievement award winner. • Gov. Rick Scott appointed Denise Bramlitt and Col. Joseph “Mickey” Duren to the District Board of Trustees of St. Johns River State College. Bramlitt, of East Palatka, has been the owner, secretary and treasurer of Bramlitt’s Inc. since 1980. Duren, of St. Augustine, has served in the Army National Guard since 1975 and has been the director of logistics for the Florida Department of Military Affairs since 1984. Their terms began Thursday and end May 31, 2014. Their appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
