• Brio’s Tuscan Grille plans to open at the St. Johns Town Center. Development plans show Brio’s at The Markets at Town Center, part of the Southside retail center, across from Ethan Allen. Brio’s website describes it as an upscale affordable restaurant serving authentic, northern Italian food in a Tuscan villa atmosphere. The 37 Brio restaurants operate in 17 states. Brio is part of the Bravo Brio Restaurant Group Inc. in Columbus, Ohio.

• The City approved permits for Adams Interior Contractors Inc. to build out space at 841 Prudential Drive, on the 16th floor, for Baptist Health at a project cost of $891,203; Towers Contracting Co. of Northeast Florida Inc. will handle tenant improvements for Baptist Primary Care at 13720 Old St. Augustine Road, No. 1, at a cost of $315,286; Lev-Con General Contractors Inc. will handle the roofing project for new Vision Assembly Inc. at 795 Ontario St. at a cost of $67,800.

• Bryan Bartlett and Lee Stine of Grubb & Ellis Phoenix Realty Group Inc. represented the buyer in the sale of a 65,296-square-foot retail shopping center at 31 Arlington Road S. for $2.2 million. It is anchored by Winn-Dixie and Pinch-A-Penny and has 12,000 square feet of shop space available for lease.
• The CoreLogic research firm reported that Jacksonville home prices, including distressed sales, declined by 4.7 percent in November compared to November 2010 and declined by 4.6 percent in October compared to October 2010. Excluding distressed sales, year-over-year prices increased by 1.4 percent in November from the year before and declined by 1.3 percent in October from the year before.
• St. Vincent’s Medical Center Southside, formerly St. Luke’s Hospital, announced that it is now home to Northeast Florida’s first all-private neonatal intensive care unit. The suites are designed for parents and their premature infants. The unit was made possible by a gift from Mary Virginia Terry. Her name and that of her late husband will be on the new façade of the building that will be known as the C. Herman and Mary Virginia Terry Women and Infants Pavilion.
