BAE Systems Southeast Shipyards in Jacksonville wants to hire more than 100 employees, of which 60 will be full-time and the remainder will be temporary workers for current and upcoming projects.
“We are always looking for team members for BAE,” said Human Resource Manager Eric Webb.
He said that once hired, key performers often are offered further opportunities to work in other BAE shipyards. “It’s a part of a huge company,” he said.
BAE has posted 50 openings for full-time jobs at www.baesystems.com/careers/.
Openings include positions for welders, painters, pipefitters, supervisors, finance positions and more.
Webb said BAE has two large ship repair jobs starting in a few weeks.
“Business is looking good for 2012,” said Webb. “It’s looking great. We are looking for some strong members to add to our team.”
