• Auto dealer Jack Hanania filed under the fictitious name law to operate Jack Hanania’s Maserati of Jacksonville with a mailing address of 7200 Blanding Blvd. The Hanania Automotive Group currently lists seven locations on its website: Acura of Orange Park, Audi Jacksonville, Fiat of Orange Park, Hyundai of Orange Park, Orange Park Mitsubishi, Volkswagen of Orange Park, all along Blanding Boulevard, and Westside Hyundai at 1672 Cassat Ave.

• The CoreLogic research firm found that Jacksonville home prices, including distressed sales, increased by 2.2 percent in May compared with May 2011 and increased by 3.2 percent in April compared with April 2011. Excluding distressed sales, year-over-year prices increased by 0.8 percent in May compared with May 2011 and increased by 1.2 percent in April over April 2011.

• Can you provide food for emergencies? JEA seeks a qualified company or companies to provide emergency on-site catering services for the City’s utility during a natural or manmade disaster recovery and restoration time period. The catering services will be provided as needed in the event such a disaster hits the JEA service area. The contract takes effect if the event does not require activation of JEA’s large disaster recovery contracts, although the awarded supplier might be called to support that large recovery supplier. • Artist Jack Allen filed under the fictitious name statute to operate a business, Jack Allen Artist, at 7220 Financial Way, Suite 400. Allen is managing member of 3rd Floor Art LLC.
