The news is cautiously optimistic about the economy and the industry. Last month about 700 builders of the National Association of Home Builders visited our capital to meet with lawmakers about the challenges we face and what is needed at the national level to encourage growth. We applaud their efforts on our behalf.
I believe the solution begins right here with each one of us. I believe there’s a lot we can do on the local level to promote growth in the industry. As president of your association, I’m convinced our real strength is in our members…individually and as a group.
NEFBA offers individual members – builders, developers and all the associated trades and businesses – a forum for discussing concerns, a voice in local and state legislative decisions, a platform for strong leadership and a sounding board for innovative ideas. With separate councils addressing specific areas, the association provides opportunities to coincide with your interests, from sales and marketing to energy efficiency, remodelers, wood and masonry contractors and geographic regions.
