Advance planning is critical to protecting the limited personal resources of low-income and vulnerable clients, but it can be a tricky business without the proper knowledge.

Now, pro bono attorneys interested in these cases can hone their skills from the comfort of their personal computers during a webinar series organized by Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, the Northeast Florida Medical Legal Partnership and Florida Legal Services.

The four-part webinar series will be conducted once a month during lunchtime on a Friday from June to September.

Presenters include attorneys Rebecca Berg, Rebeccah Beller and Robert Morgan. The series will provide pro bono attorneys with practical guidance that will allow them to immediately work with low-income clients in protecting their assets and authorizing trusted people to act on their behalf when needed.

Each webinar will be Florida Bar CLE accredited. Participants will receive document templates and statutory references in addition to 2.5 CLE hours for each seminar.

There is no charge for the webinars, but attorneys are asked to accept at least one pro bono case per topic.

Here are the topics, times, dates and registration links for each topic:

• Wills and Advance Directives, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., June 15, register at https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/247824918.

Additionally, JALA provides professional liability insurance for pro bono attorneys while representing JALA clients.

Consider these webinar trainings if you’re interested in accepting a pro bono case involving one of these substantive areas.
