The Northeast Florida Builders Association has created a new council, the E-Council, to educate the construction industry and the community about building science and efficient and sustainable construction practices.
“We know that we will have presentations and seminars during the year relating to clean energy efficiency,” said Trudy Clark of TECO Peoples Energy. “Attendance to these seminars will earn credits for the attendees toward a certification awarded by the E-Council. We are in the middle of drafting all of our documents and structure of events now.”
The E-Council will provide building science education and training to construction industry professionals and community members alike. The E-Council will host national training as well as develop local training that focuses on both the technical and business development aspects of efficient, sustainable construction and promote and educate the public about the benefits of these practices.
