Jason Fischer will represent District 7 on the Duval County School Board after beating Jon Heymann on Tuesday. Fischer, a CSX purchasing manager, garnered more than 30,000 of the 51,881 votes cast — good for 58 percent — to defeat Heymann, Communities In Schools executive director. Fischer will replace Tommy Hazouri for the district that includes Mandarin, Baymeadows and parts of Southside.
